GROOVERS GROOVERS OKINAWAA very unique music collection from Okinawa Islands of southwestern Japan. Okinawan music uses their own scales and its sound is clearly different from that of mainland Japan, like reflecting their unique and colorful culture itself. The main instruments used in this album are Sanshin (three-stringed lute played with plectrum), Yubibue (finger whistling), Fue (transverse flute), Sanba (Okinawan percussion similar to castanets) and Hayashi (interjecting shouts).
